A biblical basis for Cliristian Education is studied as a
ministry of the local church. Practical guidelines are given for developing a
total church program of education.
Ed 202 HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION 3 Semester Hours
A survey of the field of Christian Education is conducted.
A study of the origin arid development of the educational framework of the
church is conducted, including its Hebrew background, the teaching ministry of
Christ, and the development of Christian Education.
Ed 203 CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT IN 3 Semester Hours
THE CHRISTIAN DAY SCHOOL
A study is conducted of curriculum materials available arid
acceptable for use in the Christian Day School. A biblical basis for evaluation
and use of material will be given. Special emphasis is on curriculum
development.
Ed 204 TEACHING PRINCIPLES 3
Semester Hours
Basic Principles in preparing and presenting lesson
material is presented. Also a study of the learning process of students
beneficial for the pastor and Sunday School teacher as well as the Christian
Day School teacher or administrator.
Ed 302 GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING FOR 3 Semester Hours
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
A biblical basis directed to individual factors of social
adjustment and behavior and the individual's behavior in social institutions. A
consideration of fundamental theory and practical facts in the sphere of
religious counseling is presented.
Ed 303 TESTING AND EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH 3 Semester Hours
An introduction to educational research, statistics and
testing is presented. Includes all analysis of different types of Christian
Education available today.

Use of audio/visual aids in the classroom

Supervision of the student teacher in lesson planning,
preparing instructional materials and teaching classes.
